Faux Fall Arrives

This is throwing me off. School has started (sign of Fall, but really they just start much earlier here in August), the weather is actually changing (I wouldn't call it cold but all of a sudden we get rain and storms just about every single afternoon) and the third and final sign that fall has arrived despite the calendar....exhibit A
Yes, Doc found these out at the commissary. He nicely asked if I needed anything and I requested a can of peas on his way home. What does he bring me...Fall Crack. Yes this is my crack. I do not keep any candy in the house. Its just not something we ever have but here you have my Fall fetish. My candy de jour. My evil little friend.
He not only saw them, he brought two bags home! Its too early to put up my decor (I mean if it has to last till Thanksgiving..Thats 4 months!) Its not quite time to wear pants everyday and although school has started its early just yet.
You know every year it seems I hear of people anxious for Fall to arrive. I Love Fall. Its my favorite season. I love the cooler nights to barbeque, the pictures, the clothes. I try to resist the temptations of others to wish for it sooner because quiet frankly the sooner it arrives, the sooner winter arrives and that, although not horrible, is my least favorite season. Add to the anticipation of Fall, school starting. This equals school clothes which thankfully are seasonally appropriate in this state.
Therefore I have three official signs, School, changing weather and my Fall Crack.
The signs say yes its fall, but just a faux fall. I might have bought pants for school clothes, I might be sending the kids off each day. I'm enjoying the rain and cooler night temps and I am high on Fall Crack but I refuse to accept its time for that Fall decore. If I give in now, I might decide to put the Christmas tree up by Halloween and then people will start to suspect how much Fall Crack I've had and become suspicious. I must hold out.
