Pied Piper Nadeem

This is Nadeem.
He is my 8 year old Siberian Husky.

This is the rat he caught today. This is the second one since the weather has gotten cold.
This is him making sure the area was clear after catching that varmint.
This is Maximus, the commander, trying to pose proudly with our champion but they were both awfully wiggly.

Can you say best dog ever?!!! Ok, maybe not the best ever. HE does tend to run off if the front door has an opening big enough for him to get through AND more recently does not even get in the car when I go to retrieve him. In every other respect though he is a great and wonderfully behaved dog. Not only that but apparently he knows when a rat is near. He smells them!! Yesterday he started pawing at the trunk again and running all around it trying to dig under and behind etc. Today, he went out in the morning as usual but each time he'd grow restless very fast and have to get back out to that trunk. Now the last time this happened it took a week but he DID catch a huge rat and proudly tossed it about for me to see. This time I moved the trunk and was poking things under with him and out ran a rat. He pounced and voila! No more rat. I am so relieved he smells them right away because with it being cold and them getting so close I can only imagine them trying to get INSIDE the house. Ick!! Thankfully, he catches them before that and if one should get in, I have no doubts he'd find it quick.
Hooray for Good Doggies!
